Request to change entry species.
Species name: Willow Leaf fig - Group/raft
Source: Root cutting about 3 years, given to me last year.
Height: ~ 20cm
Note: All the trunks seem to join from a root cutting.

I was thinking of leaving till August to start the root work but...the itch...
OK. Looking at the weather forecast for next week, it looks very warm... taking the risk then...

Well, from what I saw last year when I repoted the root cuttings, this part was nearest to the base that was cut out and the scar was thick and ugly. It doesn't look too bad today. Maybe it can even become sort of feature of the raft...
Here is what I did...

Some carving and wiring.
Since this is a root raft, all the trunks are attached and can't be rearrange so the bigger trunks are in the right positions for group planting. I had to trim/cut them to design lengths that will facilitate their growth to desired size for each trunk. Their shapes are less critical at this stage.

Some some small updates. The WLF has been outgrown for a little while so I think it needs a defoliation to encourage more branching to improve ramification before the winter starts.

Very good result so far,nice platform.

Thanks for the comment. Unfortunately all my entries seem to be disqualified as I didn't update frequent enough. But I think it's OK. After hospitalised for two months I am just happy to be back to my hobby. Wining or not isn't that important. I will keep updating progress for my trees.
