Wacky Weather

Post by Paul B »

Perth and Adelaide are sweltering, Melbourne hot as well, lots of rain up and down the east coast and the possibility of cyclones forming in the gulfs...how is everybody and their plants coping? :fc:

Just had to don a raincoat and move a few plants. The tank overflow can't cope with this much rain and I have a waterfall that was waterblasting mix out of the pots underneath it :shake:

Just had an update on the weather to expect in Perth for the next 7 days just 2 days below 40 that is tomorrow 39 and Friday 39 sat is going to go to 42 you bloody ripper.

No work or fertilising this week JUST watering. I think it might need a bit more than usual   wishing, apparently this breaks the record, thats if it does this, that has stood since 1865.

A bothered Pup   good for a coldy weather though.

Talk about Wacky Weather. Just travelled down from the Sunshine Coast. It was humid up there. Left Sunday arvo just before the big storms and I believe it's been raining ever since. Came down the New England Hwy, at Armidale absolutely freezing then on to Tamworth and the Country Music Festival, dry and hot. Just after that, rain, rain and more rain. Now home in Sydney and it hasn't stopped raining. Where's Summer gone?

Hey Reddoggy
Called in to Red Dragon at Currumbin - great display and a must see! Travelled to Northside Bonsai - nice display and good stock. Well worth the trip. Proposals eh? Watch out Reddoggy it's a leap year.

Here, south of Adelaide we have what feels like weeks of mid 30's,
Today, finally rain predicted :tu: :tu:
What has been my issue though is tremendous gale force gully winds every evening, took the annometer out the other night 68 kph, branches breaking off of the large euc's. Fortunately the bonsai are coping well, though the pre bonsai stock keeps getting blown over :shake:
I have never experienced such a long spell of constant wind.
cept the time I ate 4 tins of beans

I'm at work at the moment (Sydenham). Looks like it wants to rain, the humidity is killing me, every now and then a nice breeze comes around.

Looks like they got it wrong again we have not got the expected heat YET. I thank you for your sentiments of a KEG. I usually have bought for me at Christmas two cartons of Beer one my favorite Kilkenny the other any of the lagers.
That is the first to go as the hangers on drink that and leave my Kilkenny, which lasts me a couple of months, as one or two now and again with a chaser is the norm, but with this weather it has gone!!  So your offer would be welcome.

At the moment it is at 11-30 am only 35 with humidity at 42 percent very sticky.

Avery frazzled Pup.
