It is snowing in Canberra! Well the ACT anyhow.

Australian conditions vary from one extreme to another. What do you do and when do you do it?

I woke up this morning and it was fine and sunny. By 9.30 am it was cold and reports of snowfall in and around the ACT were on the radio.

One of my humble volunteers had to get out a rug.

We are coming towards the end of Floriade and this time last year it was shortsleeve shirts all around.

It hailed last night here in Tassie. My Japanese Maple copped a bit of a beating from it :(

Also, it washed out one of my Wisteria seeds (though only 1 out of ten seems to have made it through the soil anyway :()

On Monday I was having a chat with my mate (a VIP in Canberra) and he was saying that numbers are down this year because of the weather.

However we are doing as well if not better than last year.

The actual display of Floriade does seem bigger and better this year.
