I got an alert on my calendar this morning too

tis mean our days are getting longer, but the average temps will still fall over the next month due to thermal lag

Always easier to put another log on the fire or pull up the covers verses 36 overnight. Can't say I miss summer at all

I'm with you Kirky, I prefer the cooler months too. I'm finding the older I get the less I like the heat

I have an outside job so summer isn't my favorite time of the year. Winter is fairly mild here on the northern beaches of Sydney so I wouldn't say I experience the harshness of winter either. I don't get the winter colour as a trade off though.

Best time of the year for viewing bonsai is now but I always look forward to the growing season. My trees will make more branches!
