Hail Storm

Australian conditions vary from one extreme to another. What do you do and when do you do it?

Hail Storm

Post by aubigfig50 »

Just had a huge hail storm. I thought it was the end of my Bonsai's but they weathered it fairly well, just lots of leaves and a few branches lost.

Hi aubigfig50,
That was quite a bit of hail. Glad to hear your trees survived fairly unscathed. :o

Wow, the BOM tipped hail for my area but it failed to eventuate. I guess you must have copped it instead. :(

Thank goodness you've not had too much damage!

Hi Aub
Bet your relieved not to have a backyard full of beautiful stumps with no branches.
Those big "ice blocks" can do some damage, fortunately they weren't all that big.
Only seen hail that size once in my life and that was enough.
Hope your house has as little damage as the trees.
cheers

Thanks robb, I did expect to go out and find my plants reduced to stumps in pots but was amazed to find very little real damage. House came through without damage as well so we were very lucky.
