Nice tree, and love that pot. I had my eye on a Fergus Stewart pot with a similar glaze a little while back.Keep Calm and Ramify wrote: ↑September 5th, 2020, 1:16 pm Freshly re-potted crepe myrtle now welcoming Spring. Pot is by Fergus Stewart.

Re: spring 2020
Crab apple is almost full flower today
I believe this is prunus 'Elvins'. Not a bonsai yet but I'm working on a couple just for the massed flower display each spring.

Re: spring 2020
I'm loving the flower on this Leptospermum scoparium 'Winter Cheer'. They get absolutely covered from head to toe in these stunning flower.
I am patiently waiting for this Pieris japonica to burst into life. Only one flower bud has popped so far. It will be a sea of white when it does.
Cheers,
Pearcy.

Re: spring 2020
My crab apple was probably as good yesterday as it will be this season.
Azaleas are also staring to flower. This one is well under shohin size. First year in a bonsai pot and not quite as healthy as I would like to see.
One larger azalea has also opened a few flowers. Does not appear to have as many buds this year. Last year was covered in flowers. Perhaps I pruned a little late or maybe incorrect fert?

Love the crab apple. The flowering is very consistent across the whole tree which is impressive.

Re: spring 2020
Lovely trees! Love the crabapple. You’ve inspired me to post mine. Even though they both had buds on all branches, they opened at different times and it’s been so windy that the older ones haven’t lasted. Still pretty. Excuse the weeds.

Re: spring 2020
Some more prunus species have now flowered.
Pink and white forms of dwarf flowering almond AKA Russian almond Weeping cherries are now open. They make a nice backdrop to some of the bonsai shelves with the red flowered peach in the background.
Here's one of the seedlings from that weeping cherry. Only a couple of flowers this year. Some of these start to flower at 1 year old.
