JUST A SUGGESTION FROM A FEMALE!!!
I have read that if you want to make your soil more acid you can flush it with diluted vinegar. So I got thinking.... vinegar will kill the spores in mildew etc, so providing the plants you have prefer an acid soil, why not try watering them a few times with diluted vinegar and see if kills the fungus. Just a thought as vinegar is used for so many things and it's virtually natural.

Thanks Loretta. This may work on acid loving plants like azalea?
