Hi all,

Can someone advise if this is scale and if so; what recommendation to get rid of it? Only affecting one juniper thus far and I apologies for the pic quality and rotation

Cheers
Snipz

I can't quite fathom that a horde of horticultural hobbiests have no opinion on this; I might just google it and see where I get :tu: .....

You referring to the little white spots?

What happens when you squash them?

::EDIT:
Could it be sap?

It certainly has the appearance of scale, but I haven’t really had any scale problems on my plants to advise on treatment

I remember using eco oil once, and being yelled at because oil and junipers don't mix. From memory the chemical of choice was Mavrik (sp?)

I mostly just use a mist spray from my hose nozzle to try and wash them away, has to be done every day for a week, but seems to help...

Hi.

They definitely look like scale and common during this time of year.
I spray mine with pest oil.
