What bug lays these

Post by AndyC »

Hi...
Just noticed what appears to be orange coloured eggs on the dynamic lifter I'd spread on some trees...not all.
Has anyone ever seen these before?
Ask Mr/Mrs Google but can't find anything.

May not be eggs, looks more like slim mould.

I agree with Kirky. More likely some sort of fungus helping to break down the nutrients in the fert pellets. The colored bits will be fruiting bodies from the fungus.

Thanks for your input guys.... took some samples and placed undercover (no rain), checked this morning and pellet dried out overnight and the orange bits had gone. So maybe some fungus helping to break down the pallet.
