Oh I didn't know that, thanks Kirky. Yes, I've seen the stick caterpillars on other trees, so will watch out for them as well. This poor Baeckea is really in the wars at the moment!

I just checked another Baeckea I have which is growing in the garden. It has also been stripped of foliage, and has its own supply of evil weevils. :( I hate spraying cos there is also at least one praying mantis on the tree. I picked some off, but it's 34° out there atm, so will wait til it's cooler.

Thanks Tim, I've had an id on the weevil, it's Iptergonus bifurcatus. There are a few mentions of it online, but from what I can see, it loves Baeckea. /sigh

I’m the same Mel, hate spraying :shake: save the praying mantis, they’re easy to move onto another tree away from the spray. And spray those rotten weevils… sometimes you just gotta spray :(
Cheers
Kirky
