After test driving a terrier bit a couple of weeks ago I decided to check out Bonsaisensations range of cutters . I had tried to locate Teins nursery on my last trip to Melb' but with no directions I didn't make it . A quick Phone call after locating his site on Ausbonsai , the selection was made and they were posted off arriving yesterday . Being a chippy I have purchased and used plenty of different shaping and carving bits and look forward to putting these puppies to the test next week on a couple of big trunks which are i need of some serious work . My next trip will include a visit to Bonsaisensation and a chat with the man himself . I don't need any more tree's but you never know .

I have the second largest one, it is indestructible. It is my favorite burr. Let us know how that small one goes.

Are these dremel bits or for a die grinder?

Hi delisea , nothings indestructible where I'm concerned , just had to replace 2 electrcal tools made by quality manufacturers "trade quality" that couldn't handle gentle treatment on the job , one self destructed smashing the housing at 17000 rpm and damn near took my head off . Just purchased a new variable speed die grinder as I snapped the shaft on the other machine at 33000rpm. Nothings made to last forever that's for sure .

These aren't burrs , they a tungsten carbide cutters and I only plan to use these on soft woods and gently at that .

Hi Beano , mate the smaller bit is for a dremel the others are for a die grinder , 3 for carving and 1 for detailing .

I stand corrected, tungsten carbide cutters it is. I still think you won't be able to kill them.

Hi Percy , mate I will definitely take a before and after as I usually keep a track record of all my exploits including killing tree's

Hi delisea , mate I might not kill them but they will be well and truly worn out or I will be . After using router bits and shapers for all the previous carving these should breeze through the projects . With twice as many cutting teeth they should run very smooth compared to the others .

What's the best time to do heavy carving? I'm thinking for a Lilly pilly. Or can you carve pretty much any time?

Hi jpg , mate if there is a best time I haven't found it , I carve when the desire hits me . Some trees bleed more than others during the growing season like pines , figs and maples but I simple rub a small amount of red clay from the yard on the wounds if they bleed profusely , the wet clay dries rather quickly and slows it down or stops it .
