Anyone used Bonsai Warehouse?

Post by Redsonic »

I made a small purchase online with bonsaiwarehouse.com.au last month.
I haven't heard anything from them since, apart from automated replies. No dispatch notification, and no response to email enquiries.
The phone number on the site is 8 digits, but no area code.
Does anyone know what might be going on, or is it time to cancel my payment?

I’ve used Bonsai Warehouse in the past, no particular issues spring to my mind from using them, but it’s been a year or more since the last purchase I made through them.

It took a few weeks to receive the order from them for sure

Never used them. The phone number I can see is an Australian mobile phone number +614 prefix. I don’t see any landline contact. Have you tried using Facebook messenger to contact them? That way it gives you an estimate on how long they take to respond on average to other Facebook messages, and also you can see if your message has been delivered to them and if they have read it or not.

They might be drop shippers, in which case they may not communicate with you at all, they are merely receivers of an order which they organise dispatch from a warehouse. A lot of eBay shops run this way now. The seller has no contact with the items they are selling, they just organise delivery etc.

tel:+61455567852 is mobile number 0455 567 852. Surely they’d answer that if they were in business still.

I used them a couple of times a few years back, nothing recent though. Good luck getting a result!

That's weird. I was thinking there may have been a personal crisis or something (no reply to 3 different contact attempts) but your experience suggests they are still operating ok. I will give them a couple more days before I pull the plug.

That’s really strange. Is your email address a webmail? Maybe your emails are getting sent to their junk mail folder? Still they should answer your calls.

My email address is a webmail. Why would that go to junk?
I also contacted them via their website "contact us" form.
Yesterday, I initiated a Paypal dispute, and emailed them that way.
I will keep you updated

Suspect Beano might be thinking you have hotmail? That regularly gets sent to people's junk mail....even gmail does sometimes!

Good luck with the dispute.

Yeah because webmail is free and most of the spam you receive yourself comes from free webmail addresses, they sometimes get deemed junk by the receivers inbox bot and sent to junk before they even get to see it. Should work though if it came from their web form. I find it strange and think the Paypal dispute was the logical next step. Hopefully you’ll get a response but if not, a refund will do!

Ah, I understand what you meant about the webmail thing. My email host is Westnet, so not one of the freebees and no more likely than anything else to be seen as spam. I did contact them 3 different ways before resorting to Paypal dispute, but now I have to give them time to respond (again) before I can reclaim my money.

To update this thread, Bonsai Warehouse did not respond to Paypal's emails either, so I have been refunded my money.
I can only think something has happened to the proprietor?
Anyway, all sorted from my end.
