I know there's one supplier her in Melbourne, but he's on the other side of the city. If there's an equivalent that's easy to get, I'd prefer that - otherwise I'll just make the trip down to get some.
What's it's purpose in a gritty mix anyway? Is it for water retention as well as being a viable size?
Does anyone have a good substitue for Turface?

I used it before until they moved to Hallam around 5 years ago. I mixed it with coir peat for mini's and small starter stocks on colanders. Now I use pumice/scoria/akadama/pine bark mix.

Are you just screening the pine bark you get from bunnings? Or bought from somewhere already done?

This is exactly what I'm looking for!! You've just saved me a whole heap of time sifting through bark. Can't thank you enough!
