Thanks Booga.

Dario it has only had a couple of fruit so far. As you say concentrating on the foliage and branching.

Hello All,

I was fortunate enough to go to Peter Adam's Workshop on July 4th, last year up at the Nesci's nursery.....

The funny thing is....when I recieved the artwork from Peter of what my Zelcova would look like, it was rather embarassing....My tree was a bunch of sticks compared to the stylised version of what it should look like!!!
I was that ashamed I went with my branch cutter on the weekend & went to town....I'm back to the trunk!!! Time to start again!

Cheers

Snapped a few updated pics today.
just quickies, but show the amount of foliage development it has achieved in the last few years.

Now need to just refine it I reckon :-)

I prefer the back side of the trunk, but the tallest of the multiple trunks is on the other side and this late in the game means that side needs to be the front.

Hey Ken,

I reckon that the 'back side', i.e. picture 2 has it all over the other side i.e. picture 2 for a display front. It is much harder to create that lovely fluted trunk than it is it to do something with the upper branches and apex. Besides you can always make it a 3D tree.

cheers

I think the original front and back (from the first page) were mixed up... :lost:

Yes it has been rotated several times in it its gestation.

I prefer the original front. As per Peter's sketch. Very Nice tree Ken. They are wonderful in full bloom, the fragrance will knock you out. I can't decide on the pot though, something about it doesn't jell :lost:

The pot that Peter originally drew it in is IMHO much too shallow, and is quite a hard masculine pot. It is currently in a deeper unglazed fluted oval which i like as it much softer on the eye.
