Bonsai Northwest - Yusuke Uchida FREE Demo - 1 July 2013

Hi all bonsai enthusiasts,

Bonsai Northwest has managed to secure the wonderful services of visiting Japanese Bonsai Artist Yusuke Uchida who has been touring Australian whilst working on bonsai collections. His work has been incredible and all who have seen him have loved his work.

Yusuke has completed a full 5 1/2 year apprenticeship at Aichi-en in Nagoya and specializes in black pine and junipers. Don't miss this very rare opportunity to see a Japanese master at work.

This will be FREE event and I cordially invite all bonsai enthusiasts to come along.

Please NOTE the start time being at 7.30pm, 30mins earlier than our normal meeting.
When: 1 July 2013 at 7.30pm
Where: Clifton Park Bowling Club, Batman st, Essendon, Melbourne VIC

Also of note is the wonderful bonsai stock we will be providing Yusuke!!! Its going to be a wonderful experience and event and hopefully everyone can increase their knowledge and take their bonsai to the next level.

Hey Dave long time no see !!! It sounds like it could be a great night, any chance of having a squiz at the material you will give to him to work on ??? Kind of like a before shot here and now for every one to get a tease ???

Awesome news!!!
Can't wait to see what he produces. I am loving how everything he has worked on around the country is looking.
What stock will he be working on David? Raw nursery or previously styled private stock? Or are you going to keep us waiting?

Lets just say the material comes from the IMHO BEST collection in the country!!!

It has had some styling and is a Black Pine. Is that enough to wet the appetite without seeing the material

I don't have any photos of the material. If they come to hand I will share.

Its going to be a cracker!!!

Hi David, Uchi spent 14 hrs restyling a large slanting Black pine I have loaned to the collection in Canberra,Grant has before and after pics its OK with me if he posts them.

After attending the last two Conventions, and watching two very good professionals working their magic on good stock and good trees.

I would recommend that any one who is fortunate enough to see this professional at work, to take it.

I am unfortunately not able to as it is too far to travel,( unless someone pays

) for me.

Certainly Gentlemen there is no question of Yusuke Uchida's ability. He is "THE REAL DEAL" !!! However good to hear that the material given to him, is up to the task also. Would be tragic to have a guy of this calibre work on anything less !!! Thanks for that David sounds like its gonna be a cracka !!!

ps those 2 jbp's he styled are very nice !!! even more so now !!!

Eye's off John, I'm first in line for that one!

You will all enjoy Yusuke very much. He is a character and a great artist. Nice pair of traditional wooden thongs too
