Re: AusBonsai Market - 8th March 2020
Hi all,
Only a couple of tables left until the venue is full.
One interesting seller is coming from the ACT to sell his collection of old Joe Micalef trees and pots. The pot collection sounds amazing with many very old Japanese and hand painted Tokaname pots amongst the collection. Those not familiar with Joe can see some of his trees and learn some history at THIS LINK here on AusBonsai.
We will have our usual espresso coffee van and also a food van selling hot noodles etc.
Please spread the word amongst your bonsai networks and clubs.
Regards,
Steven

Re: AusBonsai Market - 8th March 2020
Was there much in the way of Australian native bonsai/pre bonsai last year, and any indications of the same for next month?
Thanks in advance

Would love to attend this but unfortunately I live in Melbourne. Are there any plans for a Melbourne Ausbonsai market at all?

Re: AusBonsai Market - 8th March 2020
In conjunction with Earth & Fire and Boris Lomov, we are holding an Australian Bonsai Pottery auction and competition at the AusBonsai Market on 8th March.
We have 10 potters who have entered the competition and 8 of the pots can be seen below.
The pots will be auctioned one at a time from 11am and the pot that sells for the highest amount will win cash to match the highest bid. e.g. if the highest price paid for a pot is $100, the winning potter will receive $200 (the highest bidder only pays $100).
All pots will be available for viewing between 10am and 11am this Sunday at the AusBonsai Market.

Hi Kirky,
The first PJ fig is approximately 36 years old, with a height of 56cm including the pot. Second PJ fig is approx. 31 years old, 45cm height incl. the pot. The Banksia Serrata is approx. 19 years old, 41cm incl. the pot.
Credit for the trees goes to my dad Chi, whose bonsai age is about 20 years. I'm a newbie, second generation bonsai enthusiast.
