All tanuki but extremely well done.

The little plums definitely went over well with the public; all day there were lots of calls of "ooh it's got fruit!". I think things like this help remind people that these are actual living trees as opposed to some static sculpture.

New member here and first time poster, (also fairly new to bonsai), went to the show yesterday was instilled with more attraction for the art. The trees were amazing and the for sales section was great. I picked up a Chinese Elm root over rock for what I consider a great price to add to my growing collection and am strongly tempted to go have another look today. CHEERS for putting the show on people. :aussie:

Do it mate! And I highly recommend joining the club - the number of experienced people who are more than happy to share their knowledge is pretty awesome.

I'm heading by shortly to drop some more stuff off for the nearly-depleted sales area.

Still a few more to grab today mate, and the display is well worth a look in person.

Reasonably envious of these people that can go to shows... :tounge: and that can travel more than 5km. :o Oh well soon - it's looking good here; we'll soon be back to normal and it's best that we continue to stay the course now. Enjoy the show and your new hobby.

SA Bonsai Society Show 2020 photos

That last photo is excellent. I did not read the part about the wallet until after seeing the photo and had to take-2! Very cool little display!

(Edit) ....I have just had takes 3,4 and 5. Love this display. Wonderful pots too.

Photos don't do those tiny little two justice, they are amazing in real life. The dead wood on the higher one is stunning. I have a photo from a bit more of an angle, see below.... Image
