It did the heart of an old hawthorn digger good to see so many hawthorns on exhibition at the Canberra Bonsai Society exhibition last weekend. I might say too that the quality was fabulous in my opinion. There were big ones, little ones and most were in flower. Lovely, lovely, lovely!
I hope you enjoy as much as I did.

Re: Hawthornathon at the Canberra Show
I really enjoyed seeing all the flowering hawthorns. I would say the best one was the pink flowered hawthorn. That was by far the best in my opinion

Re: Hawthornathon at the Canberra Show
I can’t pick a favourite they are all stunning in their own right to all the owners.
Loved the age of all the bark too. The elegant one I believe may be a Washington Hawthorn? The pink is lovely and a coveted one I must get myself. It has inspired me, I really must work more on my own Hawthorns.
Thanks for sharing Watto
Hope we get some more happy snaps from the show.
Cheers
Kirky
