Re: VNBC Show 2021
Border check stations were dismantled earlier this week so pretty much anyone can now come through except those from Cumberland Shire who still need permits to be south of the border.
Vic native do a great show. Plenty of great native bonsai in a wide range of sizes, styles and species. Definitely worth the trip for those interested in Aussie native bonsai.

VNBC Show 2021
I am so happy that I went to this show this morning. Great trees and wonderful people. Fine folk like Quentin, Marcela and Barry - more than happy to have a chat; so friendly and very generous with their time.
I would be a member of the VNBC in a heartbeat if I was remotely close to the club.... indeed, before lockdown - I think I filled out membership but didn't act on it... I must get back to that... even if to access knowledge base on their website.
Here are some photos... and the last two - while not show worthy - left the sale's bench and leapt into my car... One Quentin's and the last photo is Marcela's .... both in lovely Australian made pots too. Thanks VNBC for putting on your show.
Cheers,
Mark

Remote members can watch the meetings on Zoom now Mark, and the videos of meetings are uploaded for members only viewing as well. It's definitely worth the membership even if you can't get there!
Thanks for the photos!

Re: VNBC Show 2021
Hi MelB and Keels,
Happy to post the photos - I am sure there will be better quality ones from others in due course.
Good to be reminded about the Zoom and video links ... but... as a Melbournian who spent 5-7 hrs a day 2020 in lockdown and on zoom and still 60% of my work week on Teams or Zoom ... I nearly had an allergic reaction to more zoom for bonsai .... that’s said, I’m not complaining ... working via video is certainly better than not working at all and my thoughts go out to all those still managing the disruption of the pandemic.
And again, fantastic to visit the show today.

Good looking trees, thanks for posting the pics MJ. That first one is a real beast! Shame about the pot though.

Re: VNBC Show 2021
Good stuff David. I did notice you wondering around and I am surprised how good that little microphone is... you were whispering so quietly and yet it came out so clearly. very clever and well done getting all the lovely trees. I smiled when I saw a glimpse of my step-dad in his beret in the sales areas and there’s some sneaky red shoes walking past right at the end.
