Hi all
It is with great pleasure that I can announce that Bonsai Northwest Melbourne will be holding their Exhibition and Sale event on 15 & 16 May 2021. We can't wait to share our bonsai with everyone who visits. If you have been before, you know it is one of the best exhibitions in all of Australia and we expect to have an even better display this year as members have been spending lot of time on their trees during our lockdown in Melbourne.
Hope to see you all there and hopefully no more lockdowns to stop the show.

It's on this weekend. 15 & 16 May 2021.
One of the best exhibitions of bonsai you will see. Also the sales area will be massive with member's bonsai for sale (including one members who is selling his entire collection of high quality trees) and also includes stock from Neil Padbury and Moongate.

Do the sellers usually have eftpos?

Yes... and as there was no sale day last year word is there will be lots of material available.

All sales at Bonsai North West show are through the club sales table so they have several options for payment, including cards.

Lots of people supplying stock for the sales area so there is always plenty to choose from. Right from small starters through to advanced pre bonsai. Small bonsai in pots through to surplus older bonsai as members reduce their collections.
Also bonsai pots - new, used and hand made by local potters.
Wire, tools and other supplies.
Pretty much everything you could want for bonsai.

When you have enough supplies there are a couple of demonstrations or talks each day

There's also the bonsai display if you have some time left over

Can't wait for the show! It will be my first bonsai exhibition so looking forward to getting some inspiration and hopefully some nice new trees.

It may be your only day off but if you stay home you will be missing the best bonsai show currently in Victoria Not casting aspersions on any other club shows but BNW now seem to be the club of choice for many of the state's most experienced bonsai growers so the display has seen higher quality trees for the last 10 years or so
Only happens once a year. Definitely worth the effort.

Sales tables are pretty good too (but I have to declare an interest in that section as Shibui Bonsai is supplying stock again this year.)

You’ve twisted my arm, not that it needed much as I know that if I don’t go I know I’ll just be wishing I did on Sunday night.

I’ll bring some cash too and come see what you’ve got on the sales desk Neil hopefully everything doesn’t get cleaned out on Saturday!

Seems that Tim is going to come to my joint and the we’ll pack supplies and make the haul across town together on Sunday morning. Looking forward to catching up with a few folk on Sunday.

The trees for sale were disappointing but the exhibition trees were brilliant.

Thanks for the positive comments Neil. We have a great team of people who just have fun and enjoy what they do to make this all happen.

Also our sales area broke every single record we had previously by outselling our previous best ever results (for the whole weekend) in just one day!!! I think that says it all.
