Central Coast Annual Exhibition and Bonsai Open
2024 will be the fourth Bonsai Open and with over $5000 in prize money entries are rolling in. In 2023 the standard of trees on display was exceptional. On display will be approximately 140 bonsai trees, many from the Central Coast Club as well as entries from much further afield. As well as being one of Australia' biggest bonsai exhibitions there will be two days of demonstrations and a large sales area.
1st Prize -$2000, 2nd Prize- $1000, 3rd Prize $500, Best Mini $750, Best Native - $750
Entries Close on March 8th.
Demonstrators include including Scott Martin, Andrew Edge, Hugh Grant, Alan Harding and Denise Allen. A full program will be up on the website by the end of February. The Bonsai Open is held in the Mingara Recreation Club and this year we are utilising the whole lower floor encompassing over 1,500m2. Mingara is a large club, offering 2 significant restaurant / cafes with great parking and good access. So it is easy to settle in for the whole day, enjoy a morning demonstration, wander through the sales area, have a meal and then enjoy the afternoon demonstration and / or enjoy the bonsai exhibition and pick up a new bonsai, new tools or a new pot.
