It is interesting to hear what judges look for, isn't it Anthony!

I really appreciate the effort Carole went to for this judging.

Yes great respect to the judges and to a after talk on them that is know easy feat either, fantastic....may I ask which bonsai areas Carole is from...I m in my own little world here Mel lol..cheers

Yes, thanks for sharing MelB, the native raft is beautiful in its simplicity and it conveys a landscape wonderfully well. As Carol indicates - good trees, groups, landscapes transport you to another place. Very cool. :cool:

Thanks Mel, some stunning trees there. Very interesting critic and good hints on how to better display trees by tilting and changing angles.
