Inspiration/Time Passing

Post by juan73870 »

Hi guys,
I'm probably not telling most of you anything new here, but I just thought I would share what I find myself spending the most of my screen time on lately.

This website: https://www.flickr.com/people/norbury/

Its basically a photo roll of all the bonsai owned by the amazing Jerry Norbury in the Netherlands.
It is constantly updated and currently has over 60,000 photos.
He has photographed the progressions of hundreds of his stunning bonsai over the years and categorised it brilliantly.
It even has heaps of photos of things like trimming and repotting - so its nice to look at during the winter here where these activities are seldom enjoyed.

I really recommend having a look, i have spent dozens of hours flicking through them over the last few months and have still not seen them all.

Just thought I'd share :)

Thank you Juan. You’re telling me something new - I hadn’t seen this - some lovely trees and photography and certainly something to pass the time as I sip my morning coffee.

(Edited... and now the offer is one but I am still flicking through the images - good stuff - something for everyone there; trying to figure out the air rifle ....perhaps its this gent's way of warding off pests?)
Tending bonsai teaches me patience.

Great find, I can see I've just lost my weekend(s)!

Saw the air rifle too, believe it's used for defoliation, when you don't want to get your hands dirty, or if it's raining.

Nice find, thank you for sharing. I've binged most of the bonsai youtube content I care to watch, so browsing some quality pictures will make for a nice change of speed.
