A book documenting the formation, growth and evolution of Canberra Bonsai Society from 1975 to the present day was launched at the club's annual show on 10th October. The people, stories, images and contributions over 45 years are captured in 150 pages and a photo gallery of exotic and Australian plants as bonsai form a centre piece of the book. The cover of the book captures work by Peter Hanrahan, a CBS club member.

The book was produced in a limited edition of 200 copies. There are a small number of copies still available for sale at $25 a copy ( plus any postage). Enquiries can be directed to Tony Gill at email : president@cbs.org.au

A lot of us attended a funeral today for a very long term member of our club, Joe Mifsud. That was after another funeral for another member, Joyce Mottley on Monday. Shows the value of a history of the club.

Both will be a big loss for our club,
