New Pot

I recently had the opportunity to purchase a few Japanese pots and this is one of them. Its a Yamaaki Toshio from Tokoname and it is used, but not much.
I like it.

I like it too Watto! I could see something chunky and relatively upright sitting nicely in this. Saying that it might suit a cascade too, but because I can’t grow them I have even less of an idea....

What sort of dimensions is it?

Nice one Watto. This is my favourite Japanese kiln - unfortunately they went out of business (in the 1990s?). The quality and the balance of the signed Yamaaki pots is exceptional.
Has anyone here got a first generation Yamaaki? They are too $$$ for me.

My fav too.
I have a couple of 1st gen's, but aquired them a few years ago when prices weren't so high.

It's only small, definitely a shohin. I have a tree in mind and will post after the spring potting.
