Murrumbung ceramics hits the big time (again)

Post by nathan987 »

I know that not everyone universally loves Ryan Neil/Bonsai Mirai (I do), but thought to celebrate the recent shout out they gave our very own Murrumbung Studio Ceramics. Well deserved, as the pot in question is gorgeous.

I think that they have been stocking Tracey’s pots since July 2019, but it is great to see that the love affair continues and that Mirai makes efforts to promote artists all over the world.

Cheers for the post Nathan. That's great for Tracey and indeed, other potter(er)s too. From a 'marketing' perspective such recognition is wonderful for Murrumbung but the awareness of the industry down here is great for other Australian artists too - as it may open the door to other global supply arrangements. My comment is not based on any 'potting industry' knowledge - rather just a reflection that sometimes - we collectively (and I) covet pots from Japan or Europe and I know some suppliers travel to these countries and bring pots back... how cool that maybe other overseas-based suppliers may travel to Australia and take locally made pots to the world. Very cool. :imo:

I LOVE Traceys pots too, and am very lucky to own some.

But for crying out loud @Mirai, learn what the word evolution means! :palm:
It really irks me when bonsai enthusiasts use it to seem profound.

Having grown up in a household with a Paleontologist and an Entomologist, you get lectured continually.
