Some pots I do own
I have been on a spending splurge lately for saleable commercial pots but have found a couple I intend to keep.

Re: Some pots I do own
Below is a Tosui pot painted by Tosui , according to translation of the characters; Kanji.
It is a second quality; it has a few blemishes but only if you look for them, mostly to do with the glazing firing, not the artistry of the painting.
I think the stories below make the pot even more interesting; knowing the detail from a native modern Japanese speaker.
Cheers,
grant
Image 1 is a nice country scene Image 2.Top view Image 3 underside view Image 4 makers mark Image 5 God of Wind “Fujin” has a big scarf Image 6 says “everything are god. Wind, Thunder, people and tree”. Note. The images are Pre Buddhist “kind of Shinto” according to my translator; animistic Image 7 God of Thunder Raijin has yellow ring around.

Love the country scene. I would use that as the front. As for the god of wind....... I think I married him

Just got a new shipment of 25 small pots, various makers including Gekko.

Re: Some pots I do own
The gekko is the patterned darker blue and white one on the far left.
Some of them I will keep and some I will sell. These pots looked good in the photos when I bought them, but in the flesh they’re even better.
I had not seen the real detail on this purple one for instance. The detail on the base is insane.
Grant I don’t know the potter/artist.

The style looks like Heian Kosen but the pic of the bottom is too blurry to confirm

Do you have any more photos of the first pot? The candy glazed cascade? It's a beaut

Re: Some pots I do own
The pattern on the bottom of the purple glazed one may be something as simple as a piece of curtain material or shadecloth.
