Just remember that the fence is full shade.
Which direction are the trees facing?
You should try to remember to turn each tree 180 deg every few weeks to prevent the backs getting weak due to less light.

Is it just the photo or do the benches get progressively lower?

The yard faces south unfortunately. the image has the the photographer north of the benches, which gives the benches the most sun.

Being winter, i expect as summer arrives that the sun will be higher and the benches will get sun almost all day. Will probably need to rotate stock regularly.

The property slopes from right to left. The lawn is 800mm high, with the lowest bench 800mm high. The pic doesn't show the excavated area in front of the benches. Let's see what the longer months brings.

Thanks
