Other Stones from WA

Post by AGarcia »

Here are some more stones from the WA trip.

This one is another limestone, about 30cm across the longest part.

This is a piece of ironstone from a field littered with the stuff. It took a while to find a sizable piece that wasn't a round ball. This one is about 20 cm high. It wasn't until I got back to Brisbane that i noticed the monkey shape in the stone.

This are, I believe, some form of sandstone and are about 40cm at the longest points. Most of the stones were collected for bonsai purposes (root over rock, landscapes, etc).

This is the last stone, another piece of limestone which came from road base near the coast. It hadn't been exposed to the elements long, hence the light colour.

Thanks for checking out the photos.
