Quartz Crystal Alluvial Sphere

Post by fossil finder »

This 90mm diameter rounded crystal sphere tumbled down an ancient river but for some reason never splintered into a thousand pieces like the vast majority of crystal formations would have. I find stones that have been subjected to such forces without succumbing especially facinating.
