Re: Aus Bonsai Literati Bunjingi Competition.
Brett if a contestant says cascade literati I will knock 60 points off.
If they say literati I will be objective we are working with a style one at a time if you want a cascade style say so.
I have posted what I consider Bunjingi . The two photo's you have posted I see as Bunjingi also Stymies.
Multi trunks are allowed as Stymie says providing they fit the criteria.
As I keep saying Bunjingi is the style.
Bunjingi bonsai exhibit an understated elegance, austerity,a beauty of line and sophistication.
It is the Wabi and Sabi we westerners strive for in Bonsai.
Pup
Edit I see reference to certain people who are held i high regard by the Bonsai fraternity. In this style I am sure they would all agree do your own.
Think out side the square. Do not go for the grotesque though.

Re: Aus Bonsai Literati Bunjingi Competition.
I have a thought of what I think you mean Pup
Is it that Any form is ok as long as it
But just don't call it something like twin trunk literati because literati is literati? There are no separate forms of the style?

NOW YOU HAVE IT sorry for shouting that is it. I you remember when I posted that group I refered to it as Bunjingi. Not a group of Bunjingi.Bretts wrote:I have a thought of what I think you mean Pup![]()

Re: Aus Bonsai Literati Bunjingi Competition.
Could someone open a new thread, summarize and state the rules and critiria/requirements of entry for this competition?
Always we hope someone else has the answer.

Re: Aus Bonsai Literati Bunjingi Competition.
I have started a new thread for discussion of the criteria for the style.
Maybe Brett can put up the, criteria for the competition. We have about 6 weeks before start time. We do have to remember that Stymie is 8 hours behind and I am 3 hours behind.
If need be I will add the written guide for the style. Remember it is a free style within reason.

it was the same as the stump i received that i have in a seperate thread.

hopefully pup and stymes could give me there opinions on it

its a thuja oocidentalis, i know not a prefferable species but still something that could be a challenge, i would of prefered it to be of the sorts of juniperus chinesis or squamata or shimpaku but thems the breaks![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)
here it is![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)
