This is a really nice grouping John, very keen to see how it looks as it keeps growing.

Thanks for the kind words . Actually surprising how well it has gone considering how touchy they can be. I think the way to go is to work on them as little as possible. Next job will be getting a decent pot.

Last update. Have been very slack with this one ,left completely to itself. A lot of streaky new growth that needs to be cut back and then refinement can begin again. Have picked up a a Sandpaper fig seedling and a few Kunzea seedlings along the way for company . Definitely needs a repot to get it moving along .John.

Hi John , I like how your natural forest is naturalising with other species . Those mushrooms are amazing they look like straight out of a fairy tale . Do Darwinia back bud well ?

Hi Craig ,these Darwinia are a tough gig ,have a bad habit of dropping branches randomly and sometimes the apex will also go. .Will back bud on fresh green growth ,although have never cut one back to bare wood i have a feeling not much chance of success . Have you got them around your area ,these came from around bowral so can handle the cold. Cheers John.

Hi all ,i have a love hate affair with these trees. They can be very quick to tell you if not happy ,usually by die off at the tips of branches. Since last post i have let them grow out and then potted them up in December. Only cut the roots and left foliage alone ,seemed to work as they continued to power on. Suffered a little die back in summer as they copped a few extra hot days .Will start to clean them up and wire to a better shape .Looking a bit on the wild side at the moment. Cheers John.

I’m not a fan of the pot, but I love what you’ve done with the trees John. I’m so glad someone is using Darwinia in the comp, and a great naturally natural artist like you as well, hahah.
