Pots by Joann

Post by Rory »

Finally managed to take pictures of some of the new pots I have acquired from Joann - the very friendly bonsai potter in Victoria.

The colours and bubbling of the greens in the 1st is lovely.
I love the originality of the 2nd one.
The 3rd one is such a beautiful natural rough style, it is simply breath taking.
The 4th is the same beautiful style but much bigger, as you can see from the 50 cent coin.

Pfff... who says Australian bonsai pots don't display age. The last babies don't look a day over 50 years old.
Joann outdid herself to create a few of these larger rough ones to show a very old, rough and weathered look.
When you see them in the clay, they look very old.

Finally getting some funds soon.... so hope to display more pics from potters of this great southern land on here.

I style Bonsai naturally, just as they would appear in the wild.

I bought some small pots from Joann and am similarity impressed!
I really like the first and third pot (mind you the 4th is the same). Love their outside texture!

Nice score!
