Aussie handmade pots from the YVBS Sale Day

Post by cre8ivbonsai »

Whilst at the YVBS sale day last Sunday, a bit of wheeling and dealing saw me bring some beautiful handmade pots. A great day chatting with 3 very talented potters (hchm ceramic artists ;) ) left me with so much variety to choose from, the decision was hard, so I just had to collect from all 3. Just love the different textures, glazing and details!

Nice seeing you support our Aussie potter's Ryan. :aussie: Great scores. Also good to see Trevor using a little colour on his pots again. He was a little TO earthy for a while there.

Yeah, it reminds me of some of Pat's cracking finishes, yet a bit more subtle, sort of crossed with the refined unglazed Japanese style. I like it!

Haha no more room for trees on my benches ... But there's always room for [NICE] pots! (they can be stored, and admired anywhere!)

I can't go past Aussie hand made, so many different styles and techniques! I did mention I really liked this translucent blue dribble glaze over the rough texture ... and apparently this IS one of his older pots  :palm: but that he may go back and do some more like this for future work :fc:

I style Bonsai naturally, just as they would appear in the wild.

Sad that I can find a good potter in Brisbane!
Always we hope someone else has the answer.
