Another kiln opening, I love it

Post by Watto »

When I say I love it I mean the kiln opening, its very exciting. Its been three and a half months since the last kiln opening so you can tell I don't make many pots, and of course not all the pieces in the kiln are mine.
Enough chit chat, a couple of photos. Firstly what I call classical style pots. (I should have tidied up those wire holes before taking the photo, a job for today)

Wow!
These are great Watto, especially like the Mulberry Ash one and the darker “stone wall” pot.
You are becoming the complete package... nice trees, and nice pots too!

:hooray: GREAT little pots! Great progress, for sure. I like nrs 58, 60 amd 62 the best. The stone wall #62 is really gorgeous. I tried to magnify a photo with Paint, but the resolution of the ones posted here is not sufficient for that.
Keep up the good work!

It suddenly occurred to me: have you started growing sufficient mame and shohin plants for your pots??

That last Rock Wall pot is beautiful Watto.

It will make it look like a tree growing on the side of a park wall or old rock retaining wall. Very nice Watto.

Lovely glazes on the first two, and a very nice balance between formal shapes and slightly irregular working. "Rock" pots are also interesting - not too distracting from the tree (eventually) but a lot of character. Nice work.
