Pot for a Large Bottlebrush

My journey into the murky world of pottery continues and I am still loving it.
This is a long story so if you want to skip to the pot I will understand.
I needed a large pot for a large callistemon and so went about the design and construction process. In the mean time we had a new fence installed at the rear of the property, out with the old paling fence and in with the new colourbond fence. The old palings (yellow box I believe) became firewood and that firewood produced ash. So not to waste the ash a glaze was made and the snazzy title of the "paling fence ash glaze" was created. Gee I think that is inventive
After the testing process it looked the goods and following what seamed like 6 months of drying time the final firing was done. I think it looks great and am giving myself a pat on the back :palm:
Hope you enjoy.

A nice earthy colour, should look good with the callistemon. Nice textured finish. What is the size?

I had a jug from potters in the Snowys who used Yellow Box ash glaze, theirs came out an earthy olive tone. They also used Yellow Box in their wood fired kiln (source of the ash). Your fence could have been a bit more seasoned than their firewood.

Jan, I'm pretty sure the iron content (from rusty nails) has an impact on the colour outcome.
The pot is 48cm long and 37cm wide.

Bobbie, the glaze looks different with the sun on it, I find that interesting.
