Feeling Stupid... Buxifolia

Post by The Munt »

So I posted a little while back about wanting to get Acacia Obtusifolia...

I just realised I made a complete balls of that request, it was actually Acacia Buxifolia I was after.

The Obtusifolia has massive leaves and would be useless for Bonsai :lost:

Sorry for the confusion and mods feel free to delete that Obtusifolia post.

But if anyone does have any of the smaller leaf Acacia Buxifolia cuttings they would be willing to part with or sell, please let me know. I would obviously cover postage costs. The flowers on those are lovely.

(Feeling sheepish)
It’s all about the new experience!

Hello Munt,

Seed would be the easiest way to obtain Australian natives.
There are many suppliers of Australian Native Seed located around Australia.
A quick search for the Brisbane area came up with AustraHort, located in Cleveland, just outside Brisbane. Their website attached below.
They have your variety of Acacia on sale (not sure if in stock). If not in stock just Google Australian Native seed suppliers and you will get a plethora of other companies.

Good luck,
Kevin

A buxifolia is indigenous to our area. We have some growing in the garden but I don't think I have any in pots now.

Happy to grow some for you if you don't get from other sources.
