G'day Gavin ,how did you go fixing your screen? I recently bought an old projector screen from the tip shop out at Mugga lane (it's in Canberra ).There were probably about a dozen there if any one was interested .It didn't cost me much ,I usually fill a shopping trolley full of stuff for 30 dollars so by the time I take everything into account it cost maybe 5 dollars.

I was thinking get rid of the uprights altogether
replace them with tent/tarp poles
they are cheap and strong and will break down to smaller size

I own some nice aluminium tent poles that have the twist to lock adjustment

maybe even some cheapo fibreglass ones will work if you have them
I bought a tent for $20 from Big W
it has 2 of them

My apologies , the photos have disappeared . I have just got one of those iPad 3 things (so I don't have to use my girlfriends computer) and I can't figure out how to upload photos properly. Any advise would be greatly appreciated .
Craig.

this is one of the reasons why External Image hosting sites are a bad idea :imo: .
Ausbonsai has no control of the images and links and we end up with dead links in the posts. Many people who like these image upload sites swear that they will never be unavailable and thus OK but to only way to guarantee the availability of the files is to have the located on AusBonsai itself

Sno: I like a darker background because it suits my push-here-stupid camera. And yes, I'm sure there was an easier way to do it than this...

So.

Nice solid strap hinges.

Frame up.
P1050767.jpg
Blew straight over, and broke the pivot at the bottom.

So.

Channel aluminium base and supports, slots hacked in horribly, but they're solid, and little bolt pivots.
P1060064.jpg
P1060065.jpg
A stop for the brace, and a notch for the nail pivot.

And it's up. Now to test it out. It will need a Bonsai Brick to steady it in breezes.

Feel free to be suggestive, Mr Bodhi, it's always welcome.

The detail's in there so anyone making another one won't have to stuff up like I did.
