Has everyone here seen Ted's Angophora Costata? After visiting Williams Nursery a few weeks back I've gotta say I've never seen anything like it.

Hi Teejay, I am always at this nursery, it is one of my favourites to wander around... I love all his plants, they are great. He has a few that I particularly like: the large pine planting, his very slanting cedar in that amazing hand carved bluse stone pot, and his blue atlantic cedar grouping. However they are all great, what a great place. I have some customers down that way, so I manage to drop in regularly.

And he has a good, if not modest, selection of Australian Natives.

Has anyone had much success with this species ?? they are possibly my favorite tree and were everywhere on the property I grew up on.
I just can not seem to get them to live past a few months.

Any tips or success stories would be great to hear.

Just a word on Ted's Angophora, I was speaking to him yesterday and it's headed to the national collection in Canberra soon. A well deserved honor for sure as it is, in my opinion, the most impressive bonsai gum I've ever seen.

Melbourne folk who haven't been should go to William's nursery while it's still there, and Canberra folk should go and see it at the national collection.

This is a beautiful tree, good on Ted.
I was at Ted's nursery about a month ago and took a pic, I found it had a bit of dieback but nothing a bit of prune can't fix BTW: Bonscythe here is the address and website http://www.cbs.org.au/NBPCA/Where%20we%20are.htm

This tree is, in my mind, the best example of a Euc that i have (possibly will) ever gt the pleasure of seeing. Truely amazing. Hope the guys in canberra can keep it looking just as good as it does now.

I volunteer at the National Collection occassionally and I can tell you that Ted's Angophora is looking just fine. No hang on its better than that - it looks great. It has heaps of new growth and looks like a kid on its first date, standing tall and sparkling.
