Bottlebrush a la Ray Nesci

Post by MelaQuin »

Ray Nesci always has something up his sidecutters and the 2009 Ideas Summit was no different. Ray showed the crowd of enthusiasts his latest BOTTLE brush... just showing what can be done with a callistimon. Definitely inspiring.

Yes... the roots are firmly gripping a bottle and if you look closely you can just see the metal cap.
Not only is Ray a good bonsai artist but he has a great sense of humour!!
Mind you, he could have put a bit of movement in the leader.

Ray sure is an innovator! Who else would have thought of a bottlebrush over bottle

Reminds me of a few other quirky bonsai we have seen here

1. Skippy's Fig Head
2. Mrs. Pup's hanging Ficus
3. Skippy's Kick ass Juniper

Anyone else got any bonsai that break the rules?

Steven
