Re: Bottle Brush
Nice tree / pot / stand combo Pup. With a little more shape in the lower branches on both sides it will be a more evocative image. Good work. Ash

Re: Bottle Brush
Very nice tree Pup. Love the character of the trunk. Going to be another Pup classic tree in time
The pot...don't know if it really does it for me. Just my personal taste but I feel it's to square for that trunk. Still an awesome tree.
Josh.

Re: Bottle Brush
Lovely.
Would love to see it in full flower!
Really gives the impression of age.

One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful

Re: Bottle Brush
Wildness of the branches matches the wild slashes in the trunk very well. Agree that maybe the pot is a bit clean for the ruggedness of the tree. You say it's got more work to do, but I can't see much.
Thanks for posting,

Re: Bottle Brush
G,day the work that has to be done Gavin, is what Ash pointed out the branches all need more direction. Seeing it is time to prune for flowering and shape now it will be done in the next few days.
Izzy it is 40cm high 47 wide and the trunk at the base is 9cm. Not collected traded stock.
The pot is not a square as you think it has curving side and the panels are also rounded. I did have a pot for it but put a rhaphiophylla in it. So now have to see what else is available from my potter.
Cheers Pup
