Callistemon group by Pedigree Plant Hire

Post by Steven »

This group planting of Callistemon was emailed to me by the owner, Pedigree Plant Hire.

These plants were purchased as 12 trees, each in a round starter tube and heavily overgrown. Initial root pruning was done by pulling the holding tray away from the soil and breaking off all the inground roots. Then the pots had to be painstakingly cut away from the trees - an effort that took literally hours. Training started in 2006.

Unfortunately the natural lighting does not show the dry river bed and bush rocks in between the two plantings that really set this group off. Still and all it is a beauty and if it weren't for the weight I would happily lust after it. But I occasionally get to water or mind it and that's good enough.
