Casuarina Cunninghamiana 2

15 April 2013. The above picture was a cutting from one of the Casuarinas that one of Ray Nesci's students worked on from a dig. The stock was $12 from Ray Nesci. The above photo was taken on 15 Apr 2013. Steven (admin) believes it is a Cunninghamiana, so I'll go with that. I didn't have many Casuarina stock at the time, so I took a crash course in them, and purchased quite a few. I believe in jumping right in to trial something new. This one just grows up and out, so I plan to eventually angle it back in about halfway up. I love the trunk colours on these guys.

21 October 2013. The above picture was taken in October about 6 months later. I like the slender feminine feel this one has, so I only cut off the top a little, and this promoted a splurge of more branches for my enjoyment. I am going to let this one just gracefully taper before I do any major work, as it is very pliable.

Re potted and cut back and has since put forth new growth.
