Should I yamadori or should I go now?

Hi All,
I came across this Casuarina today and have the option to lift it with permission of course.
I’ve not had much experience with natives.

The base is about 7-10cm and I’ve not exposed the nebari to see what’s happening.

I would assume it would be a trunk chop and keep only one of them?
However there is little movement to start with.

Any thoughts or maybe leave this one be.

It really doesn’t have much going for it mate. It would take 10 years to finish the trunk. And will have massive scars. I wouldn’t collect it. Something bushy that’s been repeatedly pruned would be better. People gardens are the best place for that.

They do well after being dug, but instead of the big one I would dig several of the small ones nearby. They grow quite quickly in the right conditions, I've got several that are powering on after the initial slower start.

Trees always look far better on site. After digging and potting I have often wondered what I saw in the first place and wondered why I wasted time.
If you are uncertain it is not good enough so leave it there and find something that has real potential.
