Syzium, first real crack at carving...

Post by Raymond »

Saturday I felt inspired. I took to a Lilly Pilly that I collected from my bosses house in November. When I dug them out, they stood about 800mm tall. This what remains...

I'm pretty happy with the result.

That looks pretty cool. Got a before pic?

Did you blow torch it to harden the wood, or was it friction burn?

I don't trust Bonsai, they are a little shady.

Before pic, no :palm: . I got carried away to quickly for that. Used the wife's Kitchen torch, (shhh), to remove the small hairy fibres. I didn't treat the exposed wood with anything yet.
