Acmena Allyn magic

Post by kez »

Hey folks,

Picked this up today during my rounds of the local garden centres. Decent sized trunk on it and a bit of movement, thought for $20 it was worth having a play with, also good to expland my native collection

And the trunk

Haven't done anything yet, and in no rush. Thinking informal upright but would love to have any suggestions people might have

Cheers,

Kez

If this is anything like my lilly pilly they are great fast growing stock that reduce leaf size well and provide ample branching options through relentless new buds.
I think I've worked mine around 3 times since spring this and its only just started to slow down!

Great rewarding trees imo.
Hope I get some flowers and fruit too!
One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful
