Hi Mark ,
A Happy Bonsai Year To You.
Would it surprise you if I was to say it is presently going threw a pretty radical change. . The top was barely holding out in a strong breeze so needed to be shortened. I had a few ideas but was not exactly sure. Had an opportunity to do a workshop with Juan Llaga of the Philippines ,like his work a lot. I took this tree and another and together we came up with a design . I like it but think I will tweak it a little. Will post once it settles down.
Cheers John.

I’ve recently collected a few Kunzea that have a lot of promise. Can’t wait to see your update. I wasn’t originally sure about your original change, standing the tree upright but I certainly appreciated your courage!
I’ll post a few pics of my collected trees once they have settled in.

Re: Kunzea ambigua ideas ??
Hi All ,the latest update on this Kunzea. Change of planting angle with an emphasis on viewing the tree from the inside. Also removed the two top branches ,was sorry to see them go but with the amount of wind i get here it would only be a matter of time before i had a broken tree. The base of the deadwood trunk has gone for now , in a box somewhere. Still a lot of work to do , will let it have a growth spurt and will start to tweak a few branches . I think it still has a certain amount of wildness .. John.
