Thanks for all your comments. It is amazing what differences other people see. I agree Lynette some native are better in glazed pots.
We should also take into consideration the colours of the tree and its flowers foliage, even the trunk, when choosing a pot.
This tree has a reddish colour to the bark, it has mid green foliage with red tips to the new growth. The flowers are small and white. After taking all this into consideration. I settled on the Red gum Ash.
As it complemented all those colours and did not contrast or conflict.
As for size The tree is as wide as it is high with the pot at 280 mms and the tree at 320 I think it will fit nicely.
I found Vic's pot too wide, length and colour were good although a little deep. Also it had too much of a chunky look to me which is why I wanted to change the pot in the first place.
Being an Australian tree what else can I say a premium pot for my tree . I look forward to the pot arriving so I can re pot at the end of the month.
Which I will post of course the process as well.
Again thank you for the input, and please feel free to comment more as it dose help in the pursuit of our passion Pup
