Lophostemon Suaveolens

Post by Simonsays »

Hi all,

I picked up a tubestock of Lophostemon Suaveolens from my local native nursery last weekend, was labelled as swamp box / swamp Mahogany.
I've done a bit of a search on the site but can't seem to find much about it. Does anyone have an examples or experience using it as bonsai?
I can post a photo but to be honest it's not much to look at, just going to let it run this year, trunk chop, rinse and repeat.
I wasn't planning on wiring it yet, just cut back hard for a few years but happy to hear other points of view.
