Murrumbung Trio

Hi all,
Have been lucky enough to pick up three Murrumbung pots and finally had an opportunity to pot up some treesin these great pots.
No 1 is a collected trio that i posted a while back in the hope of working out what species. Still none the wiser .Have been trying to work on a somewhat softer approach than usual. Pot seems just a tad to big but hopefully the canopy on the major tree will grow out and balance thing a bit better.
No2 another collected tree ,a Mel Styphelioides also had an earlier run on A.B. This tree has been fantastic in growth and the ramification to die for. I have a lot of tube stock and these are the winner in regards to growth amongst the Mels. Fantastic species.
No3 is a Mel Linarifolia 'Snow In Summer '.This started as tubestock a few years back. Really enjoyed working on this one. A little sparse at the moment as it had a severe hair and root cut. Tempted to keep on torturing this one but its done its time. Love the feet on this pot..
Cheers John.

I'm no expert, just a beginner, however the pots are stunning as are the trees. My favourite is the third, congratulations.

Love logging on and finding threads like this… motivation in spades!
… and I agree in regards to M. Stypheliodes… great species for bonsai (and I still have one up for grabs in my sell thread! ;) … not at this level yet but potential plus!)
The M. Linariifolia is a bit special… they’re all a bit special really…
Thanks for the post.

Very nice John.

What I love about seeing your handiwork is that we never know what we're going to get.

Nice pots John and the trees too . My taste , now ,definitely leans towards the M linarifolia in style wise . If I saw this at a show I would be going back again and again to look at it . Just shows what a bit of wire early on can achieve .
The first tree from a distance looks like Callistemon pityoides or sieberi ( I get confused because there are quite a few cultivars that look similar ) .
Cheers Craig

Excellent John. Tracy’s pots are beautiful. The last tree is ridiculously interesting and Re: the first tree … there is something going on in future with the alignment of the tallest trees bent left-hand side branch and also the smaller tree’s bent left-hand side branch.
